My husband and I rescued CJ back in January of 2005 from Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue located here in northern Illinois. All that is known of CJ’s past is that he was rescued from a kill-shelter in Indiana. When we adopted him he had heartworm, and hookworm. It was a rough first few months dealing with vet visits, one very sick dog, and lots messes to clean up. Also, both us learning about him and him learning to deal with us! I say it has worked out for the best, he is where he was always meant to be.

CJ is an awesome dog, he has a laid back personality and LOVES to play fetch. We didn’t even have to teach him that trick he knew how to get a ball bring it back and drop it at your feet when we got him. He also hearts food and walks, seems he cannot get enough of either. Otherwise though CJ is a very quiet and calm dog, that only wants to be loved and paid attention to!
